2 Buildings at Former Brunswick Naval Air Station in Maine Have Been Sold
BRUNSWICK, Maine (AP) — Two buildings at the former Brunswick Naval Air Station have been sold and will be converted into a school for autistic children.
The Midcoast Regional Development Authority sold the former Navy Lodge, the former Navy Recreation Center and bowling alley, and 3¼ acres of land for $1.1 million to Priority Real Estate Group of Topsham.
Priority Real Estate Group President Jim Howard tells the Times Record that the buildings will be used by Arizona-based Providence Service Corp. as a school for autistic children and administrative offices.
Howard says up to 90 students will attend the school and that Providence will create up to 100 new jobs.
