L.L. Bean
L.L. Bean is a must. You can only do it here. Most Mainers have been there. Many went to the original store before it was remodeled. Seeing one of their free outdoor summer concerts should be on everybody’s list.
Fresh Maine Lobster
Lobster Rolls are a staple. We’re known all over the world for our fresh Maine lobster. Grabbing a sandwich on the waterfront is a great combination. You know something about Maine if you’ve had a lobster sandwich here.
Maine Blueberries
Maine Blueberries are also famous. You know you're a Mainer if you have spent a summer afternoon in a blueberry field. A really fun thing is go hiking and find wild ones. That’s so Mainer.
Beaches
State Beaches are some of the most beautiful places on earth. Maine has an awesome coast and incredible sand and waves. There are trails and picnic areas for summer time fun. Mainers know what it’s all about.
Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park is a destination for Mainers and tourists. It represents the state with a little bit of everything - the coast, hiking, camping, local food and more. You know you’re in Maine when you’re there.
Maine Potatoes
Potatoes from Aroostook County are legendary. The state’s known for it. When you have a fully loaded baked potato in Maine, then you’ve arrived. If you’ve ever stopped at a roadside stand to buy farm fresh, then you’re living life like a Mainer.
State Fairs
State Fairs in Maine are a right of passage. This is where the locals hang out. Everything the state has to offer is right there from food, tractor pulls, farm animals, agricultural prizes, baking contests. It's the sights and sounds of Mainers living life the way it should be.
