Woman Seriously Injured & Man Arrested after Shooting in Maine
A woman was seriously injured after a shooting Sunday morning and a man was arrested in Belgrade.
Woman Shot and Man Arrested
The Maine State Police said the shooting happened around 11:03 am at a residence on Point Road.
Airlifted with Serious Injuries
The woman had serious injuries and was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland. Police said the man was “cooperating with the investigation.”
Public Safety said No Danger to the Public
“This was an isolated incident. There is no danger to the public,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
