A Connecticut man faces drug charges for allegedly stealing from a woman he met on an internet dating site.

The woman told police she met 35-year-old Rayquan T. Stokely of Bazrah, Connecticut on the dating site, 'Plenty of Fish.' On December 4th, police went to conduct a bail check on her at a Brewer motel and, when officers arrived, WGME-TV reports they found Stokely, who had $361 in cash and a baggy of heroin. Stokely told them that he had met up with the woman for sex and weed and, once she was asleep, had taken the money and drugs from her night stand. He then fell back to sleep.

Stokely, who's also known by the name Clayton Jeanette, is charged with Unlawful Possession of Heroin, and Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs. The trafficking charge was elevated because the motel room is within 100 feet of a private school at a local church, which automatically makes it a drug-free zone, under state law.
