Who Do Mainers Want in the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show?
Super Bowl 58 is now behind us, and while we want to give the champions some time to breathe, we’re already looking ahead to next year’s event.
While the Super Bowl is, at its core, a football game, it has also evolved into much more than just another football game. It's a yearly special event! Folks throw parties, shindigs, and feasts for it.
Alongside the actual football game, there’s remarkable celebrity involvement, special legendary commercials, and of course, the Super Bowl halftime show.
Halftime shows are a tradition during most sports, but they are especially highlighted during football games. Entertainment during the Super Bowl, however, has become a fundamental link to pop culture, which helps broaden the television audience and country-wide interest. Although, it wasn’t until the early 1990s that we started seeing Super Bowl halftime shows take off and become grand spectacles.
Before we look at who could and should perform at the halftime show next year, we should give USHER his proper flowers.
USHER put on over a 13-minute performance in Las Vegas on February 11th, 2024, during the halftime show between the San Francisco 49ers and the eventual champions Kansas City Chiefs.
When folks ‘do’ the halftime show, they generally see a significant number boost. Regardless of whether that’s streams, record sales, tickets for tours, or merchandise, the performer will usually see a massive bump. And not the type of bump that Rihanna had at 2023’s halftime performance.
We took to our social media and asked Mainers who they would like to see perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans next year.
Whom would you like to see perform at Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans?
