We have two furry pals who are up for adoption at the Hancock County SPCA this week, both of whom are our "Pets Of The Week".

Mariah Donovan, Communications Coordinator at the SPCA of Hancock County, says Kato and Sherbet are two special cats currently who are looking for just the right fit.

"Kato has the most handsome white mustache to compliment his gorgeous, black and white fur. This sweet boy needs an owner who will be extra thoughtful about his grooming needs, as he does not like to be brushed, but needs it to maintain his long coat."

"He is a distinguished gentleman who can be found in our community cat room snoozing and lounging around.  In fact, he is a certified snooze-master! Kato does
well with other cats and doesn’t mind co-existing with others here at the SPCA-HC. He would likely make an excellent grandfather figure to another cat! This senior fella is looking for a place to retire and relax. Are you his purrfect match?"

Donovan says another option for adoption is a Senior cat named Sherbet.

"Sherbet is our resident sour patch kid, she can be sweet and sour!
Despite her piercing glare, this senior gal is eager to greet people
and accept love. When she decides she’s all done receiving love,
she’ll give you a warning.

"This is her second stay with us at the SPCA-HC to no fault of her own, simply due to unexpected life matters. Sherbet loves snoozing in her comfy bed and getting attention. In fact, she loves attention so much that she needs to be the only animal in her new forever home. She wants to be the center of your world sometimes, and the master of snoozing at others."
