WARNING: If You Subscribe To Netflix, This Could Very Well Drain Your Bank Account
The scammers are back at it again, only this time they are coming after your bank account and using your Netflix subscription to do it.
An article put out by The Guardian states that a phony email from the scammers looks like this - email@example.com.
It may look legitimate, but it isn't.
According to one individual, the email notified him that there was a problem with the account and it would be put on hold until a problem with his last payment was resolved.
If you click the link in this bogus email, it will take you to a page that will request your banking information.
What you should do if this happens.
First of all, never open the link. The recommendation is that you open another browser tab and go to Netflix's website and go into your account. Again, go into your account on Netflix's website, not the link in the email.
Right now this has happened to people in the United Kingdom, but it could come to your email address here in the U.S.
Even if the email states that your account has been disabled, do not click the link.
