Victims Seriously Injured after Assault with Baseball Bat in Maine
A 44-year-old man was arrested Monday after assaulting two people with a baseball bat in Portland on Saturday.
Charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault
The Portland Police Department said Ramon Nunez-Rosario of Portland was charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Assault.
Victims had Serious, Life-Threatening Injuries
Both victims were seriously injured. One had life-threatening injuries. They were taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment.
Assaulted Behind Homeless Shelter
The assault happened around 3:37 pm in a wooded area behind the Homeless Services Center at 654 Riverside Street.
