Cooper Flagg, as you probably know, is a proud Mainer, and Maine is proud of him. The hype around Flagg is so huge its being reported that NBA teams will tank their season to increase their odds in drafting the Maine star after his first year of college.

There is so much hype around Cooper Flagg, that he is being projected to be one of the best college players of all time and go #1 in the 2025 NBA Draft ... and he hasn't even played a minute of college basketball yet.

UMaine VS. Duke Will Be a First for Both Maine and Cooper Flagg

There's an obvious reason why this was scheduled the way it was. It will be the first game of the season for UMaine coming off of consecutive losing seasons, and Flagg's debut to college basketball.

If you're a gambler, the money is pretty clear, but UMaine's athletic program comes out victorious regardless as bangordailynews.com has reported that The University of Maine Athletics Department will be compensated $90,000 by Duke for playing the “guaranteed” game versus the nation’s top talent on the road.
