A couple from Mars Hill was sent to the hospital Sunday after their motorcycle was struck by an SUV in Easton.

State Police say that 18-year-old Zachary Lamoreau, of Easton was making a left turn into a private drive off of the Easton Center Road. Lamoreau slowed down to a stop, did not see a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction, and turned into the private drive in front of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle was being operated by 56-year-old Stuart Craig, of Mars Hill, with his wife, 56-year-old Kathy Craig as a passenger.

Stuarts 2014 Harley Davidson impacted the passenger front of Lamoreau’s 2004 Trail Blazer causing both Stuart and Kathy to be thrown from the motorcycle onto the ground.

Stuart Craig was treated and released from TAMC and Kathy Craig was transported to Bangor.

Lamoreau was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Craig and Kathy Stuart were wearing helmets.

Crown Ambulance and Easton Fire assisted at the scene.

The Crash is still under investigation at this time.
