August 18 –  An Island Falls business reported they found $200 cash in their parking lot and identified a Massachusetts registered vehicle they believed lost the cash. Trooper Saucier contacted the local PD in Massachusetts and made arrangements for them to contact the owners and arrange for the money to be returned if it was in fact theirs.

August 19 – Trooper Saucier arrested a 20-year-old Perry man after he was found in violation of his bail conditions by going to a residence in Island Falls.

August 19 – Trooper Lilley responded to Oakfield for a report of a family fight and one member was going to burn the house down. Upon arrival, he discovered that the male and female had been arguing and after talking to the female, Trooper Lilley’s investigation revealed previous violent assaults on the female by the male. While at the scene, Trooper Lilley discovered evidence of the production of meth and MDEA was contacted. The male was arrested for Domestic Violence assault and the meth investigation was turned over to MDEA agents. Also while at the residence, another uninvolved female was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest and she was arrested and transported to the Aroostook County Jail. Trooper Lilley was assisted by Trooper Sylvia.

August 20 – Trooper Monahan conducted a routine traffic stop in Littleton and discovered the female operator was under suspension and also had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. Female was arrested without incident and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.

August 20 – Trooper Levesque responded to Grand Isle for a report of a theft. Several cancer donation boxes left out had been stolen sometime in the past month, investigation is ongoing.

August 21 – Trooper Monahan stopped to check a 10-59 on Route 1 in Littleton and discovered a male operator and two female juveniles in the car. During conversation, Trooper Monahan noticed the male appeared to be impaired by drugs and discovered he was on bail conditions with no use or possession allowed. The two female’s parents and grandparents were contacted and arrangements were made to return them to one of the female’s grandparents. The male was brought in for a urine test and charged with violation of bail conditions.

August 21 – Trooper Bell investigated a burglary in Littleton. The homeowner was upstairs when he heard his first floor door open. The homeowner thought his wife may have arrived home so he went to see her. As the homeowner was walking to the stairs he heard the sound of people running and the front door slam. No items were found missing or damaged. The case remains under investigation.

August 21 – Trooper Bell investigated a burglary in Hodgdon. The female homeowner arrived home to find that her front door had been opened and a bag of quarters taken from inside the house. The case remains under investigation.

August 21 – Trooper Darcy assisted the Sheriff's Office with the arrest of a New Limerick man on a warrant for a Class C Violation of Conditions of Release.

August 21 – Trooper Darcy investigated the death of a 59-year-old man in Oakfield. The man was found by his daughter and son. He had been battling cancer for several years. The death was not suspicious.

August 21 – Sgt. Fuller and assisted Houlton PD with a K9 track. There was a male suspect that was looking into a trailer window. The male was on bail not to be at the residence or have contact with the residents of the address. The male took off running when the owner came out to confront him. Gleni tracked the male through the trailer park and out to the road way. The man was located a short time later at his sister’s residence. The man was arrested for violation of bail.

August 21 – Trooper Marquis summonsed a 34-year-old Frenchville woman for OAS while working a WAC detail.

August 22 – Trooper Bell responded to Forkstown for an Unattended Death on the side of Route 2A. There was nothing suspicious at the scene. The case remains under investigation.

August 22 - Trooper Darcy arrested a male from Canada on an outstanding warrant from 2003. The male crossed the border and US Customs agents held him after discovering that he had a warrant. The male had a history of being suicidal and violent but was taken into custody without incident.

August 22 – Trooper Doody was called to Scovil Apartments for a harassment complaint, but investigation showed both intoxicated females were outside their apartments yelling at each other. Both were given disorderly conduct warnings. Aroostook SO and Trooper Casavant assisted.

August 23 – Trooper Casavant attended a cancer fundraiser for Robbie Johnston and presented a check from the State Trooper’s Foundation to Robbie and his family.

August 23 – Trooper Doody was called to Scovil Apartments for a theft of milk and coffee brandy, but prior to his arrival the caller found his missing alcohol.

August 23 – Trooper Marquis investigated a theft of jewelry in St. John Plantation. The victim believed she knew who took the jewelry and the investigation is ongoing.

August 23 – Trooper Sylvia conducted a traffic stop in Blaine and as a result summonsed a 32-year-old Fairfield man for OAS.

August 23/24 – Sgt. Haines attended a two-day Tactical Application and Practical Shooting (TAPS) firearms training course in Bangor put on by Stonewall Arms with Instructor Pat MacNamara.

August 24  – Trooper Marquis investigated a burglary in Grand Isle. The victim’s garage was broken into and tools were stolen. The case remains under investigation.

August 24 – Troopers Sylvia and Saucier responded to Linneus for what began as a family fight until another male intervened and was assaulted. The suspect left, but was later located and summonsed for assault.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
