Maine, Think You’re Strong Enough to Pull an Airplane?
How do you measure strength? How about specifically, physical strength? Is it how many pushups you can complete? Pullups maybe (and I hope not, because I can only do one). Perhaps it's how many miles you can complete when hitting the pavement with those new sneakers.
Ever considered trying to pull a plane?
Pull a Plane in Maine to Benefit the Travis Mills Foundation
Saturday, October 5th at Portland International from 10am until 2pm will be a day for not only raising money for the remarkable Travis Mills Foundation, which you can read more about below, but it will also be a day filled with opportunities to test your strength and build strength in relationships with your coworkers, friends, family, or even fellow community members.
You can either create a team or join on of the 45 teams who will compete against each other in pulling a 45-ton FedEx plane (yeah, they are massive) across 20 feet of tarmac at the Portland International Jetport's Northeast Air location for the fastest time. By the end of the day, you will have impacted heroes while bonding with people in your life - not to mention, the photos for social media will be pretty epic.

Travis Mills Foundation Exists Specifically for Maine Veterans
The Travis Mills Foundation supports post-9/11 recalibrated veterans and their families through various programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation.
We support these veterans through our nationally recognized retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine. Veteran families who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation receive an all-inclusive, all-expenses-paid, barrier-free experience in Maine where they participate in adaptive activities, bond with other veteran families, and enjoy much-needed rest and relaxation in Maine’s outdoors.
