Woman Charged with Manslaughter after 3-Year-Old Died in Maine

A 40-year-old woman was arrested and charged with Manslaughter after a 3-year-old girl was found dead in a car in Milford.

Police Were Looking for Woman and Child

Kelly Brown from Havertown, Pennsylvania was taken into custody around 5 am Sunday after police were looking for her and the child for a well-being check.

Child’s Body Found in Car Outside Business

The Maine State Police said the child was found dead in the car outside a local business. The body was taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Manslaughter Charges

Brown was transported to the Penobscot County Jail and charged with Manslaughter.

The investigation is ongoing. The Maine Department of Public Safety said there was no threat to the public.
