Maine State Police – Troop F’s weekly incident report…

4/28 - Tr. Levesque responded to Mapleton for a report of a family fight and possibly a gun displayed. After investigation, the complaint was unfounded and there was no weapon located. Female was later transported to TAMC for medical care after attempting to harm herself.

4/28 - Tr. Whalen responded to Mars Hill for a report of a young girl, approximately 5 or 6 years old that was walking alone on the street. It was discovered that girl was walking to school and the mother had allowed her to walk unattended. Tr. Whalen located the mother and with DHHS conducted a well-being check on the child and spoke to the mother about the dangers of the child walking unattended.

4/29 - Tr. Whalen and bomb K9 Bailey responded to Maine Maritime Academy in Castine for a report of a suspicious package.

4/29 - Tr. Flynn and Tr. Monahan responded to residence in Hodgdon for report of a family fight. Mother and adult daughter argued about custody of a child and mother struck daughter. Mother was charged with assault.

4/29 - Trooper Darcy investigated an assault complaint in Patten and summonsed a 16 year-old juvenile.

4/30 - Troop F Troopers received training from Brian MacMaster of the Attorney General’s Office and Retired FBI Agent Urey Patrick on Use of Force. Troopers then received scenario based firearms training followed by low light and night shooting.

5/01 - Tr. Saucier investigated a theft of gas at Whitey’s Market in Oakfield. The suspect left his driver’s license and said he would return, but he did not. Troopers Casavant and Doody located the suspect and summonsed him.

5/02 - Tr. Levesque responded to report of an argument and fight between three brothers in New Sweden and one of the brothers almost hit the other two when leaving in a vehicle. Tr. Levesque located the male later and he was charged with driving to endanger.

5/03 - Tr. Flynn and Sgt. Haines were called out to Scovil Apartments in Mars Hill for a 38 year old female who gave her neighbor a suicide note and stated she took a bunch of pills and was going back inside to kill herself. A second note was found taped to the apartment door and after several attempts to force the door open, the intoxicated female came outside wondering what was going on. The female denied being suicidal, but was voluntarily transported by Crown Ambulance for an evaluation.

5/03 - Tr. Saucier responded to Benedicta for an elderly man with dementia out of control and becoming violent. The man was transported via ambulance to the hospital for medical treatment.

5/03 - Troopers Casavant and Doody arrested a 31 year old Hodgdon man at his residence after he bolted back inside and refused to come out. After a short conversation and several attempts to force entry the man came outside and was arrested.

5/03 - Tr. Monahan responded to a report of a vehicle chasing another vehicle on Rt. 1 in Amity. Male subject mistakenly thought his daughter was in the other vehicle and was following it on the roadway in attempt to locate his daughter. Later discovered that daughter was not missing, just in a different building on the property. Male was charged with driving to endanger.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties. In addition, the Troop patrols Interstate 95 from Sherman to the Canadian border in Houlton.
