Relay for Life

The Aroostook County Relay for Life is coming up in June...

Cancer doesn't discriminate. It doesn't care who it effects: young, old, race or gender. We all know someone who has been stricken with cancer, in one form or another. We've seen first-hand the devastation it can bring to an individual and to a family. Some people win their battle with cancer, while others put up a courageous fight, but seem to lose anyway. It's heartbreaking to watch.

The Aroostook County Relay for Life kicks off Friday evening with over 800 people expected to participate in the all-night event in Caribou.  So far this year, 49 local teams have raised nearly $102,000 in the American Cancer Society’s annual event to remember loved ones lost and honor cancer survivors.
