The Aroostook County Relay for Life kicks off Friday evening with over 800 people expected to participate in the all-night event in Caribou.  So far this year, 49 local teams have raised nearly $102,000 in the American Cancer Society’s annual event to remember loved ones lost and honor cancer survivors.

The Caribou High School track will be lit up overnight with a new featured theme every hour.  Temperatures are expected to be mild for the event, as team members will take turns walking on the track all night and into the morning.

The Relay for Life wraps up Saturday with a closing ceremony between 9 and 10 a.m.
