In an attempt to keep Maine roadways safe during the busy tourist season, state police say they are assisting their ground patrols by putting a little additional support in the sky. According to a news release, the Department of Public Safety plans to utilize aircraft this summer as a means for controlling speeding motorists along Interstate 95 and Interstate 295.
