The leaves in northern Maine will be moving towards peak conditions this upcoming Columbus Day weekend according to the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.

Maine’s fall foliage is turning, but the best is still yet to come during the next three weeks, according to Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.

While northern Maine is already past peak foliage conditions for the 2014 fall foliage season, the coast of Maine is just beginning to see those bright colors.

Well, it's the third week of the 2014 Fall Foliage Report and beautiful colors are abundant, especially here in Northern Maine! It's expected that the fall foliage season will reach peak conditions this weekend.

Wednesday marked the official start of Maine’s fall foliage season. The 2014 Fall Foliage Report from the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry reports that the northernmost area of the state is still green with hints of color.
