Suspect in High Speed Chase in Perth-Andover Arrested
The Saint-Léonard and Woodstock RCMP have arrested a 29-year-old man from Saint-Quentin wanted on arrest warrants related to a high-speed police chase earlier this year.
Police say Yves Leo Paul Levesque was arrested around 8:00 p.m. Thursday in Saint-Léonard.
Levesque was charged on June 5 with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police. he charges were laid following an incident in March when a member of the Perth-Andover RCMP attempted to stop a car on Fort Road in Perth-Andover.
Police said the car fled the scene in a dangerous manner and was not located. Through the course of the investigation the driver was identified as Yves Leo Paul Levesque.
Levesque also faces a charge of breach of probation.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Edmundston Provincial Court on Friday.
