It has all the makings of a block party.  This Saturday, North Street in Presque Isle will be bustling with activity as part of  the Aroostook Medical Center's 100th Anniversary.  (I was born when the hospital was celebrating its 50th anniversary, so you can do the math if you’re so inclined).

Super Saturday gets underway at 8 o'clock  Saturday morning with TAMC’s fall health fair at North Street Healthcare.  There’ll be free flu shots and dozens of interactive booths all morning long.  Q96.1 will be there broadcasting live with Chris O'Brien.

Meanwhile, the” Sweets in Moderation Bake Sale and Bazaar” runs  from 11 to 3 in the  North Street parking lot.  Sample the sweet treats and live music to help take the chill out of the air.  And yes, you might even see me there strumming guitar with the talented Jordyn Shaw. All proceeds benefit the Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The official grand opening of LiveWell United, which specializes in Zumba and massage therapy, will  spice up the activities with free demonstrations and an open house.

Also packed into the day will be local history presentations, Molly the Trolley tours, lots of good food –in what is sure to be TAMC’s biggest Fall Health Fair ever!

And to cap off Super Saturday in the Star City, enjoy "A Night to Remember" at TAMC's Centennial Ball starting at 6 p.m. at The Crow's Nest in Presque Isle. Proceeds support the purchase of monitoring equipment for newborn patients.

For a complete schedule of events or to purchase tickets to the Centennial Ball go to tamc.org.
