For one of the few times lately, the Red Sox offense and pitching were on during the same game. It results in a 12-3 win on getaway day in Oakland.

Every Sox batter had at least one hit. Hanley Ramirez and Christian Vazquez had three each. Dustin Pedroia and Jackie Bradley Jr had two each. Mitch Moreland hit another home run.

Meanwhile, Eduardo Rodriguez was strong on the mound, going eight innings, giving up three runs, six hits. He struck out eight and walked one. E-Rod now has six straight quality starts.

The Sox return to Fenway with a 22-21 record, four games behind the Yankees for first place in the AL East.
