The Boston Red Sox and outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr have agreed on terms for a one year contract, avoiding salary arbitration.

According to reports, JBJ agreed to a deal that will pay him $3.6 million in 2017, a pay increase from the $546,500 he made in 2016.  The outfielder has Super-2 status and will be eligible for four years of arbitration (three more) as opposed to the three total that many other players receive.

JBJ had a .267 batting average in 156 games, logging 26 home runs and driving in 87 runs last season with the Sox.

Xander Bogaerts, Brock Holt, Tyler Thornburg, Sandy Leon, and Brandon Workman are also arbitration eligible players for the Sox.
