Police Say a Resident of Mexico, Maine is Missing

Edward Fontaine, 71, of Mexico suffers from cognitive issues.

Mr. Fontaine Was Last Seen Driving His Red SUV

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says Mr. Fontaine was last seen at approximately 2:00 Wednesday afternoon April 3, 2024. At the time he was leaving his home on Penley Street in Mexico. Police were notified when he failed to return home, which is unusual.

Again, Moss reports Mr. Fontaine has been safely located.

Mr. Fontaine is a white male, 5'10" tall, and roughly 220 pounds, with gray hair, and brown eyes. When he was last seen, he was wearing a gray sweatshirt and brown pants. Officials say he drives a 2014 red Ford Edge with Maine registration 768VE.

Police Hope to Hear From Anyone With Information

Anyone who has seen Mr. Fontaine or his vehicle, or who believes they have information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Oxford Regional Communications Center at 207-743-9554, option 0.
