Have you noticed a spike in your allergies? There seems to be a spike in allergies that are making their way across Maine and the Maine Ragweed is much to blame.

Experts in the allergy department are saying that because of warm, dry weather conditions, there has been a peak in patients who suffer from allergies.

You know the symptoms: runny noses, watering and itchy eyes and sneezing just to name a few.

Ragweed, also known as Ambrosia artemisiifolia, is pretty prolific in Maine.

Some people use certain types of allergy medicine to help with this like Claritin or Flonase, while others like to use home remedies like a Neti Pot and things like that.

With good weather, many times comes nasty allergies. But hang in there because the snow is sure to fly soon.
