Come out, make some noise, have a drink and EAT on September 1st.  September is Chiari Malformation Awareness month and Conquer Chiari is kickin it off at Margaritas in Augusta.  A portion of the sales will be donated back to Conquer Chiari Walk Across America - Central Maine's event on September 16th.  But's what you need:

Chiari malformation is a condition where the brain herniates below the base of the skull.  It compresses the spine and brain stem causing debilitating symptoms.  Surgery can help hold off the progression of the disease, however, it is not a cure.  There isn't a cure for chiari at this time.
