The West District RCMP is reminding homeowners to lock their vehicles and their homes following two vehicle thefts and two break and enters in the Lake Edward area, about 20 kilometres southeast of Grand Falls, N.B.

On June 15, 2017, shortly before midnight, a business on Dunster Crossing Road in Lake Edward was broken into. The suspects were interrupted by the owners, and fled the scene empty-handed.

On June 16, a Grey 2010 Ford F150 was taken from a home on Lake Edward Road. On the same day, a Blue 2007 Saturn Ion was also stolen from a home on Route 380 in Lake Edward. Both vehicles were later recovered. The Ford F150 was recovered crashed in a field.

During the overnight hours of June 18 and 19, a home on Lake Edward Road in Lake Edward was broken into and electronics were stolen.

Police are investigating and attempting to determine whether some or all of the incidents may be related.
