RCMP Investigating Death of Minto Area Man as Homicide
Police are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man whose body was found in the Minto area on Sunday as a homicide.
Around 5:30 p.m., West District RCMP were called to a rural property in Hardwood Ridge, about 10 kilometres north of Minto. When officers arrived, they discovered the man's body, according to a news release from Constable Isabelle Beaulieu.
The victim has been identified as Ronald Richard of Hardwood Ridge. An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in the investigation, Beaulieu said. The New Brunswick RCMP's Major Crime Unit is conducting the investigation.
At this point no arrests have been made, however, police do not believe this was a random incident.
