Presque Isle Shipmates Present Willy Wonka This Weekend

Willy Wonka will take the stage at Presque Isle High School this weekend in a musical production that’s sure to be a sweet treat for all ages.

The Shipmates Playhouse, under the direction of Leslee Mahon, will bring the classic Roald Dahl story to life with a full cast of young actors and singers.  The show opens Friday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Presque Isle High School Auditorium.

Other performances will be on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2:00 p.m.   Willy Wonka returns for a second weekend with shows on Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday Nov. 23 at 2:00 & 7:00.

The play combines elements of Roald Dahl's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the popular 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory with newly created material.  It’s produced under license from Music Theatre International.

Tickets are $5 and are available at the PIHS main office, at Goin’ Postal on North Street in Presque Isle and at the door.
