Police Remind Drivers About Construction & Speeding

Police said they have received a lot of complaints about speeding on backroads, especially West Presque Isle Road related to motorists taking alternate routes due to construction on Route 1 between Presque Isle & Caribou.

Caribou PD reminds drivers to watch their speed on these roadways. Typically the speed limit is 45 mph.

Officers said they are issuing numerous citations for speeding in the last few weeks - and will maintain a heavy presence until the issue is resolved.
