Aroostook County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested Jason Alexander of Blaine, the third suspect wanted in connection with a shooting last week on Northern Road in Presque Isle.

Police say the 44-year-old Alexander, was taken into custody without incident around 6 p.m. Sunday at a home in Blaine.

Deputies who went to the home had received a tip from Crime Stoppers that Alexander was hiding out there. He was also wanted on 3 separate, unrelated warrants for failure to appear in court.

His alleged accomplices in the Sept. 9 shooting, 31-year-old Jomo White of Atlanta, Georgia and 26-year-old Brittany Britton both remain in custody.  White is facing a charge of attempted murder. Both have been charged with elevated aggravated assault and aggravated reckless conduct.

The early morning shooting and the subsequent manhunt forced the closure of schools in Presque Isle and some businesses in the Skyway Industrial Park area. The victim is said to be recovering from critical injuries at a Bangor hospital. His name has not been released.

Two men who allegedly were sheltering Alexander at the residence in Blaine were charged Sunday night with hindering apprehension or prosecution, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office. Jordan Field, 36, of Blaine, and Ned Ketchum, 50, of Mars Hill will appear in court in Presque Isle at a later date to faces charges.
