Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Sussex Area

Police say a 54-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday evening in Hatfield Point, about 20 kilometres west of Sussex.

Sussex RCMP responded to the collision at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Highway 124. The man, who was from Hatfield Point, was walking along the highway when he was struck, according to Corporal Mark Ward.  The victim passed away from his injuries.

Police say the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was unharmed. An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.
