One person died after a shooting Wednesday morning on Mohawk Road in Lincoln.

One Dead after Shooting

The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death after Lincoln Police found a person dead after responding to a 911 call.

Autopsy to be Done

“The deceased was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death,” said Maine Department of Public Safety.

Evidence Being Processed

The Maine State Police Evidence Response Team was also on the scene to process evidence.

Police said No Threat to the Public

Police said this is an isolated incident with no ongoing public safety concerns. More information will be released.
