NORTH YARMOUTH, Maine (AP) — Search teams in Maine say they've found no signs to the whereabouts of a 47-year-old elementary school teacher who disappeared from her home.

Kristin Westra was last seen at her North Yarmouth home when she went to bed around 8 p.m. Sunday. The Portland Press Herald reports she was gone when the rest of the family awoke Monday morning, and her vehicle, cellphone and keys had been left at home.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and the Maine State Police are investigating and asking for help from the public.

Police say there is nothing to lead them to believe foul play is involved. The house sits only a short distance from the road but the property and the surrounding area is densely wooded.
