Nicki Minaj Gets $200,000 Worth of Stuff Stolen From Her Home
Getting robbed is a painful ordeal, no matter how rich you are. According to TMZ, burglars made it out of Nicki Minaj's Los Angeles mansion with $200,000 worth of stolen items.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the Young Money rapper's 11,500 square-foot home was completely trashed, as furniture was found knocked over and flipped throughout the house.
The suspect got away with a bunch of jewelry and other items, and there were signs of forced entry at various spots around the mansion. There were also multiple signs of vandalism in Nicki's house, including broken picture frames and perfume bottles, as well as cut-up clothing and furniture.
Minaj was out of town while the burglary occurred. Police are currently trying to find surveillance video of the suspect. Hopefully, Nicki is able to recover her stolen items and get her mansion cleaned up.
Now the rapper plans to have more security cameras installed and hire security guards to watch over her 24/7.
The bad news comes after several wins for The Pinkprint rapper. On Jan. 26, she linked up with PartyNextDoor and Major Lazer for a brand new banger called "Run Up." On the energetic, dance party record, Nicki spits, “Major keys, I’m the boss/Don’t Griselda go off?/Left from the loft and went to Bergdorf/Most of these dudes is really quite soft/45 special, this is my cloth/’Bout to drop a album, this is my fourth/I don’t put sugar in my spaghetti sauce.” Notice that Nicki hints at an upcoming album on her "Run Up" verse.
Just yesterday, Nicki revealed she reunited with Drake recently after the two were not on speaking terms following the Toronto rapper's fall out with Nicki's ex Meek. Though she unveiled the picture with Drake yesterday, it was actually taken back in January, roughly a week after she'd broken up with Meek.
