Five people are in the hospital, two with potentially life threatening injuries, after a golf cart crash late yesterday on Frye Island in Sebago Lake.

Officials are urging drivers to watch for moose on the highways especially in the early morning and evening hours. Police responded to two accidents involving moose in the Woodstock area in the past few days.

Rail officials are preparing contingencies in the event Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway stops service following a disaster that claimed 47 lives in Lac-Megantic, Quebec.

A tractor trailer clipped some low hanging cables holding up traffic signs on Route 302 Windham, Maine, bringing down a pole on top of a police cruiser.

Even though we had no measurable rain in the first half of July, it turned out to be one of the wettest months ever in Northern Maine and New Brunswick.
