Five people were injured in a head-on collision at the intersection of Parsons Street and Dragon Drive in Presque Isle late yesterday afternoon.

A lightning strike may have triggered a fire late last night that destroyed a house on Main Street in Bangor.  Firefighters arrived around 11 o’clock and quickly contained the blaze.

A jury has convicted a Scarborough volunteer firefighter in a brutal assault on a Portland street that left a woman with permanent brain injuries.

RCMP have arrested a man and a woman in connection with a rash of break and enters into churches throughout southeast New Brunswick this month.

The last shoe manufacturer in U.S. is fighting to stay competitive in the global market. U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman and members of Maine's congressional delegation got a tour of the New Balance factory in Norridgewock, Maine yesterday.
