A 22-year-old New Brunswick man has been arrested in connection with an ATV accident near Woodstock over the weekend that critically injured a young woman.

Federal railroad officials will be in Maine to inspect tracks belonging to the railway involved in a train crash in eastern Quebec that killed at least 37 people.

In Maine's governor’s race, independent Eliot Cutler says he's raised more than $430,000 for his campaign for the 2014 election.  Democrat Mike Michaud has raised about $313,000 in his campaign so far.

The average retail cost of a gallon of gas in Maine has soared nearly 16 cents in the past week.

The Portland City Council voted last night to send a proposal to voters that would legalize marijuana possession for anyone over the age of 21.

And this week’s heat wave is one for the record books. The National Weather Service reports Caribou hit a high of 94 yesterday--the hottest summer day since 1991.
