Prices at the pump continue their upward climb in New England.

Motorists are still seeing gas prices going up around New England.

Here in the Pine Tree State, gasoline prices rose 3.7 cents a gallon over last week to $2.54 a gallon. In Presque Isle, prices remained steady from last Tuesday, coming in at $2.72 a gallon at most stations.

In New Hampshire, prices climbed 4.4 cents to an average $2.47 a gallon. Vermont had the biggest jump --- 5.2 cents a gallon to $2.56.

Meanwhile, the national average has risen 22.2 cents a gallon over the past month and is 2.1 cents a gallon higher than a year ago.
