Governor Paul LePage Proclaims the Week of January 28 as ‘Maine School Choice Week’
Gov. LePage joined more than 20 U.S. Governors who signed proclamations across the country recognizing this week as a National School Choice Week.

The National School Choice Week shines a spotlight on all school options available to children. Whether kids go to high-performing public schools, charter schools, or use online and homeschooling, the Week supporters believe, kids deserve greater access to challenging, motivating educational options.
More than 3500 events planned by students, parents and teachers are taking place around the country this week, including Maine.
'We are grateful that Governor LePage has officially recognized School Choice Week in Maine,' said Andrew Campanella, president of National School Choice Week. 'Millions of people in Maine and across the country are united in their view that access to a quality education can provide a ticket to the American dream for children nationwide.'
