Some of these may break your heart.

Some remakes are great, most suck. Let cross our fingers that these remakes won't fall into the later category. Three flicks based on Stephen King books are getting a 21st century face lift.

  • It

First is the 1990 flick IT. The news broke about this a while ago, but if you didn't know, now you do. Warner Bros. is bring back Pennywise as a two-part movie. Cary Fukunaga was on board to direct the flick, but dropped out of the project in May. It doesn't mean the remake won't happen. A production crew was in Bangor in May scouting for potential filming locations.

  • Pet Sematary

Thanks to Paramount Pictures, the 1989 movie Pet Sematary is being remade. I'm particularly excited to see how this movie will turn out. It shows lots of promise as director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has shown interest in leading the project. The name may not ring a bell but if you're a zombie fan, he's the dude who directed '28 Days Later.'

  • Cujo

Lastly we have the remake that shows the least promise, Cujo. Sunn Classic Pictures and producer Lang Elliott are teaming up to not necessarily remake the film. According to BloodyDisgusting.com, the adaptation will be titled C.U.J.O. The acronym stands for Canine Unit Joint Operations, which suggests the flick may integrate the military into the plot. Looks like ol' Cujo may not have the standard rabies this time around.
