MMA’s Thayer Hits 1,000 Point Mark

Maine Maritime Academy junior Tyler Thayer scored 31 points in Saturday's NAC win over Green Mountain College and he is now a 1,000-point career scorer for the Mariners.

The former Hermon High School standout is the 11th MMA player to reach 1,000 points. Thayer is the fourth fastest Mariner to reach the milestone with 1,027 points in 69 games.

Thayer was a thousand point scorer in high school for the Hawks.

In Saturday's win, Thayer went 10-for-10 from the floor and 3-for-3 on three-pointers.

MMA is 2-14 in the NAC, 5-18 overall.
