According to Maine Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, members of the Clandestine Laboratory are processing a suspected meth lab from inside 21 South Shore Drive.

The MDEA served a search warrant at the home earlier this morning. Four people who were present are under arrest: 22-year-old Damien Welch, charged with aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine; 22-year-old Anthony Torrey and living in the home were 29-year-old Travis Batty and 40-year-old Heather Gregory all charged with trafficking of methamphetamine.

Bail for all except for Welch has been set at $10,000 cash. Bail has been set at $125,000 dollars for Welch due to his prior criminal history and limited ties to the community.

Assisting in the operation were the Maine State Police, Deputies of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Rockland Fire Department’s EMS, the Owls Head Fire Department and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

McCausland says this is the 14th time the MDEA meth team has responded to a meth lab related incident this year, an all-time record. The team responded to 13 meth lab incidents last year.
