A man was in critical condition after being stabbed early Friday morning at a home in Palmyra.

Man Stabbed and Seriously Injured

The stabbing happened at 482 Madawaska Road around 3 am, said the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit Central and the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

Victim in Critical Condition

The victim was seriously injured and taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He was listed in critical condition. Name and age were not released.

“No Danger to Public”

“There is no known danger to the public,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Road Closed for Hours

Madawaska Road was closed for hours as evidence was collected and detectives investigated.
