
Man Arrested after Victim Stabbed in the Back in Maine
A 34-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night and charged with Aggravated Assault after a man was stabbed in the back in Portland.
Officer Observed the Disturbance
The Portland Police Department said an officer saw the disturbance around 10 pm near Hanover Street.
Man Told Police he was Stabbed in the Back
A 23-year-old man told police he was stabbed in the back.
Injured Man Taken to Area Hospital for Treatment
The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center with injuries.

Suspect Apprehended and Arrested
Portland PD located the suspect, Patrick Brando of Portland, and he was taken into custody.
Man Faces Multiple Charges Including Elevated Aggravated Assault
Brando was charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault, Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention and Violating Conditions of Release. He also had five outstanding warrants.

Suspect Taken to County Jail and Charged
He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail and booked.
