Man Charged with Murder after Deadly Shooting in Maine
A 53-year-old man was arrested and charged with Murder Tuesday after a 47-year-old man was shot and killed in a vehicle in Waterville.
Murder Charges after Shooting
Police found Stephen Killam from Fairfield in a vehicle dead from gunshot wounds in the parking lot of Mount Joseph at 7 Highwood Street.
Witnesses Saw Truck Leave the Scene
Witnesses saw a black Chevy Colorado pickup truck leave the scene around 6:29 am and got the license plate number.
Man Arrested and Charged with Murder
Richard Hatt from Clinton was located in Clinton and taken into custody around 8:55 am. He was charged with Murder and taken to the Kennebec County Jail.
Two Men Knew Each Other
Killam and Hatt were known to each other, said the Maine State Police.
