
Man Charged with Car Thefts Tried to Flee from Police in Maine
A 43-year-old man tried to flee from police and was was arrested and charged with Theft after multiple car burglaries in Westbrook.

Michael Blackwell was taken into custody after he fled from police on Eisenhower Drive.
Perimeter Set Up for Apprehension
“A perimeter was quickly set up by officers, and the suspect was located and arrested shortly thereafter,” said the Westbrook Police Department.
Some Stolen Items Recovered
Some of the stolen items were recovered after the arrest and as a part of the investigation.

Unlocked Cars Targeted
Police said several of the vehicles burglarized were unlocked overnight. Officials advised locking car doors at all times.
