
Man Arrested after Woman Shot with Face Injuries in Maine
A 26-year-old man was arrested after a 29-year-old woman was shot with serious injuries to her face in Farmington.
Attempted Murder and More Charges
The Farmington Police Department said Gunthar Swan was charged with attempted Murder and Domestic Violence Elevated Aggravated Assault.
Suspect Fled on Foot
Swan fled the scene on foot after the shooting. He was apprehended by a Sheriff’s Detective near the residence at 513 Fairbanks Road.
Woman in Critical Condition
The woman had serious injuries to her face. She was taken to Maine Health Franklin Hospital and then flown by helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was listed in critical condition.
No Threat to the Public
Police said there was no threat to the public. The incident was an isolated domestic violence altercation.
