Mookie Betts joins the growing list of walk-off heroes as the Boston Red Sox beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-4 Wednesday. A 9th inning two-run double off the green monster gave the Sox to victory and keeps them 4.5 games ahead of the Yankees in the AL East.

And, it all happened on the night the Red Sox honored the 1967 'Impossible Dream' team of 50 years ago.

The Sox got behind 4-0 early in this one. Eduardo Rodriguez gave up five hits and a walk in the 2nd inning. But Jackie Bradley Jr. gunned down a runner at the plate to prevent a fifth run from scoring and that turned out to be a key play.

The Cards led 4-2 when Xander Bogaerts led off the bottom of the 9th with a solo home run.

After a couple of walks and a couple of outs, Betts came up and hit the game winning double on a 3-2 pitch. It is the 9th walk-off win this season for the Sox.

Craig Kimbrel pitched the top of the 9th and got the win. He's 5-0 to go along with 28 saves.

It's a season-high 18 games over .500 for the Sox now (69-51. This is an off day and then the Yankees come to town for the weekend.
