According to Vivid Maps and their report highlighting ‘The Most Isolated City in Each U.S. State Mapped,’ their pick for Maine is Eustis, a town in Franklin County with an estimated population of 641, based on 2020 Census data.

The town was first called Township No. 1 of Range 4, with Caleb Stevens moving his family there from New Hampshire as the original settlers.

Vivid Maps continues that around 1831, the northern half of the land was purchased by two men, including Charles Eustis, whose name the town carries today.
