Maine Man Killed by Waste Disposal Truck

Police are investigating after a man was killed yesterday afternoon in a work-related accident involving a waste disposal truck in Milford, Maine.

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says a sanitation crew was picking up trash in a residential area around 2:30 p.m. when an employee was struck by the waste disposal truck and killed.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The name of the employee and the company he works for have not been released.

The sheriff’s office, Maine state police and OSHA are investigating.
